Welcome to the official site of the Apex Invitational Golf Tournament. Founded in 1974, this annual 4-day homecoming event takes place in the town of Truro, Nova Scotia. The tournament and accompanying events are overseen by the Apex Invitational Golf Association committee.
With a 50-year history, Apex, as it is more commonly referred to, is built around a golf tournament that has grown to welcome over 100 golfer participants annually from all over Canada and the U.S. During the event, hundreds more come to town as spectators, family and friends simply looking to catch up and have a good time.
This site serves to provide visitors with updated tournament and event information, along with a reminiscing of old times. For some, Apex is the next biggest holiday after Christmas. For those who may not be as familiar with the event, I encourage you to take a minute to look around and share in a piece of the history of the black community of Colchester County.
The dates for this year’s tournament are Friday, August 2nd & Saturday, August 3rd.
